My first camera was a Rollei 35SE, which I took with me when I traveled around the world, so many years ago. I still do have this camera, although since I switched to SLR's and digital cameras it hasn't gotten much use.

Our world is such an interesting place and I love exploring new places and meeting new people. And it is my privilege to photograph those moments.

I grew up in Switzerland where my parents had the best bakery in the whole world! At 20 I finished my office apprenticeship in an ad agency and decided it was time to see the world. By some lucky fluke I ended up on beautiful Vancouver Island and started working at the local newspaper in Campbell River. I had the best job ever, printing the photos the reporters took. I got so hooked on photography that in 1998 I decided to take the plunge and join the self-employed. When I am behind the lens and see the beauty in people I know I will always be a photographer. It is a gift to have the ability to see the beauty in shapes, lines, colors and smiles, and mix it all up into a beautiful portrait. Reminds me a bit of cooking which is also one of my favourite things.

And above all I aim to have fun every day and wish you the same!
